TRUTH CORRODED UNLEASH 'THE STORM’!!!

Australian death thrash five piece TRUTH CORRODED deliver a blackened indictment of humanity with ‘The Storm’, taken from the band’s latest album ‘Bloodlands’

 

Released through the unrelenting and bludgeoning UNIQUE LEADER RECORDS, the band’s highly acclaimed latest album is a flurry of thrash, death and shades of black – all of which is encompassed on ‘The Storm’ which is accompanied by a cinematic lyric video created by the bands singer Jason North.

Commenting on the composition of the song, guitarist Trent Simpson offers “The Storm is the last song that I wrote for ‘Bloodlands’. At this stage of the writing process, I was determined to not write a song that was a clone of one already written, I wanted a song that was its own beast, but one that would still run with the herd. ‘The Storm’ covers a lot of what I listen too - Keep of Kalessin, Malevolent Creation, all the way through to Triptykon. It also features quite possibly my favourite solo on the album thanks to the talented Corey Davis and by far the simplest but one of the most hook laden riffs on the album – you could say it’s a storm of riffs haha”

 

The song also features a guest appearance by solo artist Rebecca Pengelley, who adds a dynamic and contrast to the songs unrelenting blackened edge. Commenting on the light and shade offered by the guest vocals, Truth Corroded bassist and lyricist Greg Shaw comments “Our singer Jason wanted to capture a lot of contrast in the song as it is one of the more dynamic on the album. He proposed the idea to me and I knew Rebecca as a friend and that she was a great singer. We told her what we were after and she nailed it perfectly” Offering some insight on the lyrics and the cinematic scope of the video, Greg further comments “The song contrasts natural cycles of violence and human cycles of violence – both involve the building of pressures that produce a violent burst of energy that is blind in its onslaught. The clip contrast the natural with the man made message behind the song and backs the dynamic of the song itself”

TRUTH CORRODED GO FOR THE POLITICAL THROAT WITH NEW VIDEO CLIP ‘VICTIMS LEFT LEPERS’!!!

 

Australian death thrashers TRUTH CORRODED have unleashed the bands second song ‘Victims Left Lepers’ from the bands upcoming new album ‘Bloodlands’, which will be released through Unique Leader Records worldwide on March 22.

 

The song is accompanied by a confronting video clip that depicts the desperate plight of asylum seekers in offshore detention and targets Australian political figures who engage in racism and fear baiting for political gain.

 

Bass guitarist and lyricist Greg Shaw offers the following regarding the songs subject matter and  video clip: “Victims Left Lepers is a protest against the treatment of asylum seekers in offshore detention and the fear baiting and racist policy pursued by certain politicians for political gain. The clip challenges and ridicules these politicians and provides a historical context and contrast for their deplorable actions to be considered” The video clip was produced by David Hall at Uneasy Sleeper who has worked with acts such as Misery Index, Today Is The Day, The Melvins and KEN Mode.

Australian death thrashers TRUTH CORRODED have unleashed the lead single and lyric video for  'TO THE CARNAL EARTH' from the bands soon to be released new album 'BLOODLANDS' which features a guest solo from the legendary Terrance Hobbs of SUFFOCATION! The new album will be released on March 22 through iconic extreme music label Unique Leader Records.

Commenting on the song, bassist Greg Shaw offers "To The Carnal Earth is the opening song from our upcoming album, and it is an absolute privilege to feature Terrance for a guest solo. We were very fortunate to have toured alongside SUFFOCATION in Asia and Europe and became good friends with the band. The solo is completely off the hook and is both signature of the Hobbs style and fitting to the era and influences of the song. It also sums up what you can anticipate from the new album"

 

Terrance stands alongside a host of impressive guest artists on the new album which include Stephen Carpenter of the DEFTONES, Mark Kloeppel of MISERY INDEX, Ryan Knight formerly of THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER and ex-SUFFOCATION drummer Kevin Talley.

 

Artwork for the album was created by Gary Ronaldson at BITE RADIUS DESIGNS (NAPALM DEATH, MISERY INDEX, BENIGHTED) and captures the dark concept underlying the albums title. "Both the album title and new song regard war and what compels a person to fight. The title refers to lands that have soaked up the blood of the fallen to give growth to later conflict, and the new song relates to what compels conflict and what it preys upon" adds Shaw.

Corey has previously toured Europe with Truth Corroded when we supported Nile and Suffocation and has some big things in the works with his own acts Dyssidia and Freedom of Fear. Also joining us for the first time in Europe will be Jake Sproule (Whoretopsy) who has been with the band for over a year now and performed alongside us in Asia and across Australia.
